Dear All,
After many years of providing an experimental IPv6 service, BT has decided to end the UK6x and will begin to deploy
and develop IPv6 capabilities via its commercial platforms. We will therefore gradually wind down the services offered on
the UK6x platform between now and the end of 2007.
In parallel BT is deploying a new IPv6 trial service on its commercial Global Internet Access platform – AS5400 – and
we plan to migrate many of the UK6x peers onto the new AS5400 IPv6 trial platform.
The tunnel broker service will cease operation in line with the UK6x wind down; however no equivalent service will be
offered at this time by BT.
We would like to arrange the migration of your current UK6x connection to a peering on the AS5400 IPv6 trial. If you are
happy to proceed with this arrangement please let us know as soon a possible and we will begin individual configurations
as soon as the new platform is ready.
Finally we would like to thank you for being a part of the UK6x experiment and its success in promoting IPv6 migration
in the UK and beyond.
